01. Who this policy is for
This policy gives guidance for children under 18, their parents or guardians, and institutions using OAKS learning services. The public OAKS website describes our work and is not a student registration service. A programme-specific notice must explain how learner information is handled before participation.
02. For kids: keep your information private
Ask a parent, guardian or teacher before using a new learning service. Do not share your password, home address, personal phone number, live location or photos of identity documents. Use sample content in public demos. If a message, activity or person makes you uncomfortable, stop and tell a trusted adult. You will not be blamed for asking for help.
03. Parents, guardians and authorisation
A parent or guardian should review the relevant product notice before a child participates. Where required by applicable law, verifiable parental consent must be obtained before processing a child’s personal information. Participation through a school does not automatically remove consent obligations; any lawful institutional arrangement or exemption must be assessed for that programme.
04. Information in learning programmes
Depending on the programme, learner information may include an institution-issued identifier, class, learning activity, answers, assessment results and progress. Features involving photos, scanned answer sheets, voice or video require clear information about their purpose and handling in the service notice. This list describes possible programme data, not information collected from every visitor to this website.
05. Purpose, access and child wellbeing
Learner information should be limited to what is necessary for the stated educational purpose. Access arrangements for teachers, institutions, providers and parents must be described for that programme. Processing must respect applicable safeguards for child wellbeing, parental consent, tracking, behavioural monitoring and targeted advertising; any legally permitted exception must be evaluated for the specific service. Assessment outputs should be reviewed by an authorised educator before consequential decisions.
06. Safe use of AI and media
AI answers and automated assessments can be inaccurate. Children should ask a teacher or guardian to review important results and should not use AI output as medical, legal or emergency advice. Avoid submitting identifiable learner material to public AI demos. External video and website links follow their providers’ rules; adults should review those services and use available parental controls.
07. Reporting a safety or privacy concern
A child can ask a trusted adult to contact info@oaks.guru with the subject “Child safety concern”. Parents and teachers should include the programme name, a brief description and a safe way to reply. Do not attach sensitive images or records in the first message. For school-managed services, notify the school’s designated contact too. This mailbox is not an emergency service; if someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
08. Parent and guardian requests
Parents or legal guardians can contact info@oaks.guru to ask about a child’s information or request correction, deletion or withdrawal of consent where applicable. We may need to verify authority and coordinate with the institution responsible for the programme. We will explain applicable limits, including required retention and any effect on participation.
09. Related notices and updates
Read the Privacy Policy for public website enquiries and the relevant programme notice for account access, data retention, providers and parental controls. This policy may be revised as services and applicable child-protection requirements change.
